5.2.1.1 File management: Import, export and print functions

A key aspect of CAD-supported planning in DEHNplan is the flexible handling of external and internal file formats. The software supports the import and export of 2D and 3D models in numerous industry-standard formats and enables seamless integration into existing planning and documentation processes. In addition, DEHNplan offers powerful printing functions for outputting plan documents and model views.
The following description explains the procedure for importing and exporting files, as well as the supported formats and print options.

Importing model drawings
The import is done via the file menu under the 'Import' option. After selection, a dialogue box opens in which the desired file can be selected either directly from the storage location or by entering the file name and file type. After confirming with 'Open', another window appears with advanced import options, such as scaling, layer assignment or insertion position. Once configuration is complete, the file is integrated into the currently open DEHNplan drawing.
