DEHNplan greatly simplifies the efficient planning and implementation of down conductors in lightning protection systems. In particular, the 'Add down conductor with wire' function enables semi-automatic generation of down conductors based on previously placed wire mesh structures on roof surfaces.

How semi-automatic down conductor creation works:
After placing a wire mesh on the roof, the user can define the desired down conductor points by selecting specific positions using the cursor. The software then automatically creates a down conductor extending from the selected position to the earthing system.
