5.2.5.2 Semi-automatic placement of meshes depending on the class of LPS

After creating or importing a 3D building model, the lightning protection class should first be checked and adjusted if necessary. This classification forms the basis for the standard-compliant design of the external lightning protection system and influences the distances and dimensions of the protective measures.
In the next step, the desired mesh structure can be selected via the menu item 'Add lightning protection mesh' (Figure 5.2.5.2.1). A preview of the mesh is displayed as soon as you move the cursor over the roof surface. This preview is automatically aligned with the edge of the building closest to the cursor, enabling intuitive and context-oriented placement.
The final placement of the mesh is done with a click, whereby all associated components – such as roof conductor holders, connecting clamps and conductors – are automatically inserted. This semi-automatic function greatly simplifies planning and ensures consistent implementation in accordance with applicable standards.
Removing the mesh is just as straightforward. Using the appropriate function, the roof surface can be selected again and the previously placed mesh, including all components, can be removed.
